Shannon Crawford is the Director of State Government Affairs at the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS). In this role she leads the association’s advocacy efforts at the state level. Shannon began her career at the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), advancing to the position of Manager of Government Affairs. Prior to joining PLASTICS, Shannon served as National Association of Surety Bond Producers’ state legislative advocate responsible for analyzing and advocating state legislative bills and regulations impacting the surety profession. Shannon has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. and is a huge fan of the World Series Champion Washington Nationals.
