Patrick Krieger is the Director of Sustainability and Materials at the Plastics Industry Association. Within this role he focuses on several PLASTICS initiatives related to sustainability. He leads the Bioplastics Division in educating and advocating for growth on its behalf. To promote the recycling of plastic products, he works with the New End Market Opportunities (NEMO) projects to facilitate supply chain solutions. To address the issue of marine debris, he runs the Operation Clean Sweep program with the Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council to reduce pellet loss during the production of plastics, and leads the Global Action Team on Marine Debris to implement the principles of the “Declaration of the Global Plastics Associations for Solutions on Marine Litter.” He joined the PLASTICS in March 2015 and prior to that worked for the Animal Health Institute. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2007.
